It's been a while since we heard some new music from R&B singer, Deborah Cox. She has been kept busy being mom to three children. Her latest offspring Kailah Michelle was born two months ago.
Cox returns to the dance music charts with a hot new single Beautiful U R, which currently sits in the number 11 spot. The track is taken from her recently released album, The Promise.
Cox, who is of Guyanese parentage, was signed to Arista Records, after being rejected by several record labels in her native Canada. She released two albums with the label before moving on to J Records for her final major label release.
Her last two albums Destination Moon and The Promise were released on the Deco Recording Group, a joint label she founded with her husband and manager Lascelles Stephens, who is of Jamaican heritage.
Cox is better known for the hits Sentimental, Things Just Ain't The Same, Absolutely Not, Nobody's Supposed to be Here and It's Over Now.
So the question is: Is she still relevant? could this be a new beginning for Ms. Cox you be the judge we'll just sit back and watch.
PS. We wish you luck Deborah.
