Miss Guyana 2009 Imarah Radix might not be the tallest local beauty to ever enter the Miss World competition but from a field of 120 world beauties she has made it through three rounds of the talent contest with her rendition of the song 'At Last'.

She was also featured on the cover of the Sunday Times paper in Johannesburg last Sunday.

This Grenada born lady who grew up between the Spice Island and Guyana before winging off to London to study was also photographed in one of the Guyanese designer Rhonda Dunbar's creations at a gala reception in Abu Dhabi.

The ladies flew to the Eastern Cape and are staying at the Radisson overlooking the beach. She is also set to compete in the sporting events which start today following a gala dinner last night. While Guyanese have expressed mixed reactions to this lady as the country’s beauty ambassador Grenada, the land of her birth has embraced her and is publishing stories about her. That country has no representative to the pageant this year.
