It seems that Guyanese soca lovers can’t get enough of international soca sensation Machel Montano since his arrival on the local shores.

Fresh out of the Beyonce concert where he showcased Caribbean soca at its best in Trinidad, the artiste since touching down Saturday has been creating frenzy where ever he goes.

Giving and receiving crazy love galore locally, Machel is here for the Hits and Jams second annual Mash night Concert at the Georgetown Cricket Club, Bourda title ‘Machel for Mash’ and is promising a new performance that will include new songs from a new album and of course the many favorites that make him the unique international soca sensation.

Since his arrival, the Machel Mania has seen the artiste visiting several locations and appearing on 98.1 FM, he also appeared at a special press conference on HJ TV 72 hours after arrival where he shared his experience of performing for the Beyonce concert. He told reporter it was one of the defining experiences of his career thus far as he continues on his singing and acting career path. He also told reporters that he recently completed collaborations with international main stream artistes Janet Jackson and Pit Bull and he also shared future plans as he assured that the other acts from his HD band will be arriving on Monday for the February 23 concert.

Those acts include Patrice Roberts, Zan and Farmer Nappy.

But it was not all just talk for the artiste who is her to experience his first mashramani after missing Carnival this year in his home land because of other commitments. He also visited and shared some time socially at the Club Pulse I where he will be returning to on Monday night for the Hits and Jams all white party. He also enjoyed a Guyanese night of entertainment and bar hopping. But among the highlights of his visit so far was his attendance at the CARIB soca Monarch where he created quite afire storm when he was announced to come on stage.

The artistes expressed much commendation to the Newly Soca Monarch after the show but prior he appeared on stage and the audience went wild screaming in wild abandon. After sharing a few greetings he launched into a mini a sample of what Guyana can expect come Mash day at the Machel for Mash concert on Tuesday night.
