EXCLUSIVE: New Report Claims ''American Idol'' May Have Been Rigged !!!

We knew it !!! GtShowBiz just caught wind of an exclusive report that claims idol may have indeed been a rip off which confirms speculations from a number of media houses .

The New York Times is reporting that American Idol's Kris Allen may have had a little help from AT&T, one of the Fox show's biggest corporate sponsors, in winning this year.

According to the Times, AT&T provided phones for free text-messaging services at two Allen parties in Arkansas on the night of the finals. Citing sources, The Times reports that AT&T reps showed party-goers how to "power text" -- cast 10 votes at the touch of a button -- which violates show rules.

Power texts, according to the Times, "have an exponentially greater effect on voting than do single text messages or calls to the shows toll-free phone lines."

No similar efforts appear to have been made to provide free texting services to Adam Lambert fans

Angry Lambert supporters are now claiming in online chat boards that the competition's voting was rigged.

While Fox has yet to comment, AT&T issued the following statement: "In Arkansas, we were invited to attend the local watch parties organized by the community. A few local employees brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested."

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette first reported on the possible skewed voting last week.

Kris Allen wins "American Idol"

Yes people its true, to our surprise Kris Allen the underdog, came back and won the nation over.

This Arkansas college student won the eighth season of "American Idol" on Wednesday, dealing an unexpected defeat to musical theatre actor Adam Lambert on the most popular U.S. television show.

Allen, who won over audiences by putting his personal, acoustic spin on popular tunes, appeared shocked as rival Lambert embraced him following the announcement by host Ryan Seacrest.
"It feels good, but Adam deserves this," Allen said to Seacrest. "I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy.

Lambert's commanding vocal range and stage presence -- and the judges' adoration of him -- at times turned "Idol" into "The Adam Lambert Show," with the other contestants mere guests. But it turned out that "Idol" viewers could embrace a gifted performer like Lambert, one who sported black nail polish and bold self-assurance, only to a point.

Simon Cowell tipped his hat to both contestants Wednesday. "To both of you, and I don't normally mean this, I thought you were both brilliant. .... The future's all yours," the judge said.

Before the results were announced, Lambert and Allen had a moment of musical camaraderie: They joined together with Queen on the rock anthem "We Are the Champions."
"Adam did win. So did Kris. Nobody lost tonight. These are two champions," said Paul Stanley from Kiss backstage.

The comments from Cowell and Stanley aren't necessarily empty platitudes. Past contestants can testify that losing the title doesn't mean you're a loser, nor does winning mean you're a shoo-in for superstardom.
