So CB finally bites the dust in court! Lets see what happened.
A judge on Tuesday sentenced Chris Brown to five years' probation, six months' community labor for the beating of Rihanna and ordered the R&B singer to stay away from his former girlfriend for the next five years. Like that’s gonna happen.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown that he could be sent to state prison if he violated any terms of his sentence, including an order to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they're attending music industry events. Let’s see if they can resist.
A probation report prepared for Tuesday's sentencing describes two previous violent incidents. The first happened about three months before the February beating while the couple was traveling in Europe; Rihanna slapped Brown during an argument, and he shoved her into a wall. In the second instance, Brown allegedly broke the front and passenger side windows on a Range Rover they were driving while visiting Barbados, Rihanna 's home country. Neither attack was reported, the probation report states.
Brown will serve his sentence in his home state — Virginia — and his community labor will be overseen by the police chief in Richmond.
The judge said she wanted to ensure that Brown, 20, performs physical labor instead of community service, such as mentoring young people. He will also undergo a year of domestic violence counseling.
Rihanna did not attend Tuesday's sentencing. I guess she had other more important stuff to do than watch her abuser face the music.

After hearing the devastating news of Michael Jackson's death, and knowing that the BET Awards are only days away from us many are asking one questions such as, will there be a tribute to the King of Pop?
Well we all know the answer to that already, but the big question of all is Who could really do an MJ tribute that does the world's greatest entertainer justice? Chris Brown, of course......Anticipating at least a video montage, we know that the BET team is most likely scrambling to include some sort of performance in the King of Pop's honor.
However, with the perilous months that Brown has experienced, he is hardly in anyone's good graces. Celeb or not. But, could a performance of monumental proportions begin to heal the wounds of disappointment and anger that our little golden boy administered in February. Think back to the 2007 World Music Awards where Brown performed an amazing rendition of MJ's Thriller, along with impromptu performances at previous BET award shows that left us speechless.
There's no doubt that Brown needs something to catapult him back into the super-stardom that he was once accustomed to. The world is hurting, especially us Black folk that literally grew up on the Jackson Five and MJ hits. We need to see that his legacy lives on. Many people, some indifferent, some disgruntled, claim that they would like to see Brown do a performance at the awards show which airs on Sunday.
Are we ready to forgive Chris Brown? Although we disagree with his actions and definitely believe that he has more crow to eat, this is a moment to take to the spotlight and do us proud. Somebody go get that jacket from the cleaners and buy back that glove. There's work to be done. R.I.P Michael.
So you would think because Rihanna didn't show up for court today Chris gets off the hook for two piecing her, well not so easily, A plea bargain has been accepted in the assault case agains him.Brown's plea deal will require him to spend 180 days in a labor domestic violence program and get five years probation for felony assault. If he violates his probation in any way, he'll get four years in prison.
Rihanna did not appear in court today and thus did not testify, I wonder why she didn't show face?.
What do U think of the court's decision? Was it fair? Too tough or too lenient?
Our boy Breezy was at Pleasure P album release party, You can bet your last dollar he wasn't thinking bout Rihanna who he had allegedly beatdown a few months back. Breezy was trying very hard to bring back his superstar steeze rollin’ in expensive cars, poppin’ bottles, flirting with older chicks and actin’ a fool.Omarion, Bow Wow, Richgirl and Mario were at the party actin' like big dawgs.

So let me get this straight. Chris Brown allegedly beats up Rihanna inside of a car on a public street, doing everything from punching her to biting her, yet anyone who says, “You know, you really shouldn’t do that,” is the bad person.Does one have to get socked in the eye to follow that logic?
Well, that’s how Chris Brown feels. During a live chat with Bow Wow last night, the man who now draws comparison to Ike Turner versus Michael Jackson, told the world “I’m not a monster.”
Maybe not, but he allegedly bites like one.
He also added, “We ain’t going nowhere. Everybody that’s haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love ya’ll. I ain’t a monster. Believe that.”
Chris Brown’s career should not end over one alleged slip up. His personal life shouldn’t overshadow his talent.
But, when you’re accused of domestic violence, should you be online talking about “the haters?”
Between the video chats, Twitter, and blogs, the internet is turning into one big PSA for publicists.
Well, it looks like Rihanna will have to take the stand after all. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles District Attorney told Rihanna's lawyer Donald Etra in a hearing today that the singer will be subpoenaed.Rihanna's lawyer says that his client will indeed cooperate and take the stand to testify at the preliminary hearing on June 22. "She will absolutely comply," he said. In the past, Etra had stated that Rihanna would testify if she was subpoenaed, and that is exactly what is going to happen. The preliminary hearing will determine whether or not the prosecution has enough evidence to go to trial.
Chris Brown has already pleaded not guilty to beating Rihanna after an altercation took place between the couple back on Feb. 8, the night before the Grammys.
The subpoenae isn't the only news that came out of today's hearing. People.com is also reporting that the judge in the case rejected a motion filed by Mark Geragos, Chris Brown's lawyer, asking for an order requiring the L.A.P.D. to give up the leaks in the case. Brown's lawyers want to know who leaked the photos of Rihanna's injuries.
“This is both a false and defamatory statement," reads a statement from Brown's rep to Essence.com. "Chris has not released or ‘leaked’ any photos of Rihanna (or anyone else for that matter).”
What is not addressed in the statement is whether or not the pics are indeed of Rihanna and whether or not that is indeed Chris with what appears to be a pair of panties draped over his head in one photo.
Well folks we just had to give ya'll some info on the Chris Brown hearing that should have been today.Chris Brown's public hearing scheduled for today has been postponed, and at this rate, Brown will be 40 by the time his trial actually gets underway.
A few hours ago, Brown's attorney Mark Geragos told a judge his team had not received important files and photographs from the LAPD pertaining to the case and wanted the hearing postponed. According to reports, the prosecution didn't put up much of a fight and the judge granted Geragos his wish.
The hearing has been rescheduled for May 28th with the stipulation that a preliminary hearing be scheduled by June 10th at the latest.
As always, will keep you posted.
