So CB finally bites the dust in court! Lets see what happened.
A judge on Tuesday sentenced Chris Brown to five years' probation, six months' community labor for the beating of Rihanna and ordered the R&B singer to stay away from his former girlfriend for the next five years. Like that’s gonna happen.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown that he could be sent to state prison if he violated any terms of his sentence, including an order to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they're attending music industry events. Let’s see if they can resist.
A probation report prepared for Tuesday's sentencing describes two previous violent incidents. The first happened about three months before the February beating while the couple was traveling in Europe; Rihanna slapped Brown during an argument, and he shoved her into a wall. In the second instance, Brown allegedly broke the front and passenger side windows on a Range Rover they were driving while visiting Barbados, Rihanna 's home country. Neither attack was reported, the probation report states.
Brown will serve his sentence in his home state — Virginia — and his community labor will be overseen by the police chief in Richmond.
The judge said she wanted to ensure that Brown, 20, performs physical labor instead of community service, such as mentoring young people. He will also undergo a year of domestic violence counseling.
Rihanna did not attend Tuesday's sentencing. I guess she had other more important stuff to do than watch her abuser face the music.

Michael Jackson’s death has just been ruled as a homicide, he did not have a heart attack. LaToya said it first and the rest of the bunch agreed. They are about to put Dr. Conrad Murray UNDER THE JAIL if one of MJ’s fans doesn’t lay hands on him first.
The Los Angeles County coroner ruled Michael Jackson’s death a homicide Monday after a search warrant affidavit revealed that Jackson had lethal levels of the powerful anesthetic propofol in his system when he died.
The document unsealed Monday allowed officials to raid the Houston offices and storage facility of Dr. Conrad Murray last month.
According to the warrant, Murray, Jackson’s personal physician, had been treating the singer for insomnia with the sedative for six weeks. According to the document, Murray said he had been trying to wean Jackson off the powerful sedative by using smaller doses in combination with the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam.
On the morning Jackson died, Murray said he tried to induce sleep without using propofol, starting first with valium at 1:30 a.m. When Jackson was still awake at 2 a.m., Murray injected Jackson with lorazepam, then injected him with midazolam at 3 a.m. Murray told police he administered several other drugs over the next few hours.
By 10:40 a.m., Jackson, still unable to sleep, urged Murray to give him propofol. Murray said in court documents that he administered 25 milligrams of the drug at that time, then left Jackson alone under the influence of the drug to make phone calls to his Houston office. When he returned, Jackson was not breathing. He performed CPR while a member of Jackson’s staff called 911. The singer was rushed to UCLA Medical Center where he was declared dead sometime later.
The affidavit says, while Murray acknowledged to police that he administered propofol, authorities find no evidence that he had purchased, ordered or obtained the medication under his medical license or Drug Enforcement Administration tracking number. Police detectives found about eight bottles of the anesthetic in Jackson’s house along with other vials and pills that had been prescribed to Jackson by Dr. Murray, Dr. Arnold Klein and Dr. Allan Metzger.
Valium, lorazepam, clonazepam, tamsulosin and other drugs also were confiscated in the search, and propofol was found in Murray’s medical bag. According to the warrant, Murray told police he was not the first doctor to administer propofol to the singer.
Authorities subpoenaed medical records from Klein, Metzger and Dr. David Adams, in addition to Murray, the affidavit states. They also asked for medical records from Dr. David Slavitt, who conducted the independent medical examination of Jackson for Anschuntz Entertainment Group, Dr. Randy Rosen and nurse practitioner Cherilyn Lee.
The affidavit also states that Jackson told Murray that two doctors in Germany had given him propofol. Murray said he repeatedly asked Jackson what other physicians were treating him and what drugs they were prescribing. Murray said Jackson refused to give the information.

Already owning two Accolade awards for the best male gospel artiste of 2008, Guyanese Eddie Neblett is once again set to hit the spotlight as a four-time nominee for the 2009 music awards.
Known for his infectious hit "Love N Unity" among others, he’s currently in Queens, New York, with Colin Hinds, a member of his management team who is promising much from the Guyanese star. At present he is performing in New York at various Summer shows, and according to his management team, he has an action-packed agenda there for August and September, which can be viewed in the "events" section on his website www.eddieneblett.org.
Eddie's management feels that he is one of the most talented, lyrically-positive, individual singer/songwriters out of Guyana in 30 years. It is believed that he possesses the criteria for worldwide acclaim as his work to date consists of about 20 songs, encompassing every genre, and speaks to positive, conscious issues that resonate with audiences worldwide.
Over the last 8-9 months, Hinds assembled a team, mostly based in USA, which has been working to promote his music to the world.
He says “We have put his music on "www.youtube.com". Most people accessing and listening to music on youtube.com are based overseas and so far there have been at least 110,000 hits on his music on this site.”
When you cut hair from your head and glue it to your face to look older, and to give yourself a chance to be selected by a construction foreman who previously rejected you for a job, then you know how desperate Eddie was to support his family.
The married father of two was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. His mother brought him up in the church and put him in the choir at the age of seven. As a youth, Eddie simultaneously annoyed and entertained everyone by beating incessantly on sticks and cans as he created his own rhythms. His mom would later urge him to enter and sing in various shows.
One of Eddie's greatest gifts is creating lyrics on the spot to a track that he likes. As he grew in experience, he soon recorded his first song "We can make it" followed by his breakthrough hit "Love N Unity" with its infectious beat, catchy lyrics, and his now famous trademark, rapid-rap style.
He was asked to sing it at the closing ceremony for the 2008 Caribbean Cultural Festival, Carifesta, as well as at the Rio Summit of Latin American leaders, held in Guyana.
Eddie continued to team up with his band of now eight years, Second Coming, to produce what is his favourite song, "Anointed". His major musical influence has been Bob Marley, but his musical talent spans many genres, including reggae, soca and R&B. He has won numerous awards, but none more prestigious than the two Accolade awards in November 2008 for Best Gospel Artist and Song.
He has performed at shows in Brazil with ‘Second Coming’ and also in Barbados, Suriname, St Lucia, St Vincent and Trinidad & Tobago. He was featured with the top gospel reggae band, Christafari, while they performed here.
Eddie has done seven videos and appears frequently on local TV as a spokesperson for GT&T. He is also GT&T's spokesperson and advocate for HIV awareness.
In 2008, Eddie released his compilation album, Prophecies, which features 12 of his original compositions. He is currently working on a new album and is simultaneously performing at numerous concerts/churches in New York City. Eddie's vision is to establish a global presence that will reach millions through his music.
MANAGEMENT OPTIMISMS
The comments left on the video clips on www.youtube.com reflect constant surprise by people abroad that music of this quality is coming out of Guyana. Music lovers from Sweden, Germany, Poland, South Africa, Kenya, Spain, Ireland, England, Canada, USA, Jamaica have been contacting Eddie’s management team with positive comments on his music.
Hinds opined that this proves “how much we have progressed in the last say, 3 years.”
Lion of Zion Records based in California has awarded him "New Artist" status with their sub-division Gospel Reggae, which has begun promoting him on gospelreggae.com.
They have built his personal web-page where his music can be purchased online and also downloaded to MP3 players.
Eddie had the pleasure of being called onstage by Mark Mohr, CEO of Lion of Zion and lead singer of Christafari, at the January show at the National Park to perform a song with the band. Mohr also announced the "signing" to the excited fans.
Eddie is cognizant that the world has shifted and believes that the time is now for a change in how people see their role in the world. He thinks that now is the time to move away from the violent, aggressive lyrics being perpetuated by so many artists and sees himself as "The Conscious Lyricist/Spiritual Artiste". As such his music will continue to reflect that.
It's TIMEKA, working it for the photographers in this Oakley photo shoot....Peep some more shots below.

For this August holidays Timeka has switched gears from the one drop tracks for which she has become known to a high energy, sassy and sporty sound. News from Jamaica is that even as she continues her quest to hit the music main stream she’s upped her game yet again with a music video out of the land of reggae and Dance Hall.
A main feature among artistes the likes of Peetah Morgan, Busy Signal, Barbee and Vegas for the Jamzone Dance Hall/ Reggae Splash Timeka is promising much to her local fans.
After several weeks of unofficial play on local and Jamaican radio stations Marshall’s spicy ‘feel fuh’ dancehall single featuring Jamaican artiste Busy Signal is set for official release as a prelude to the inaugural JamZone Summer Break Weekend.
With Feel Fah produced by Shane C Brown of Juke Boxx Productions Timeka demonstrates her vocal range while sparring with Busy Signal.
The video for this, ‘sure party starter’ with all the professional workings included is completed filming and editing in Jamaica and is a contagious must see.
Based on comments from those in the music fraternity the video in terms of location, dancers, choreography and setting is by far more captivating that any video from a Guyanese artiste. It also brings out a side of Timeka never before seen in any of her previous music videos. Showing all the signs of a maturing artiste who is focused on what she wants she breaks into the mode of a dancer and tastefully sexily so.
The video quality is a must see that local artistes should strive for and in some instances it betters any of those produced by local and Caribbean female dance hall singers. The feel good song brings out the energy through superb choreography that appeal to persons of all ages.
Word from Jamaica is that Timeka has been gearing up for summer by recording a number of radio friendly tracks that have started hitting the airwaves.
Fans can listen out for Timeka's deejay skills on Doesn't Matter on the Equiknoxx produced Monkey Business riddim currently in rotation. The Timeka hit list also includes The Way You Love Me from Penthouse and another track from Juke Boxx on the Road Crusher riddim titled Move On.
Earlier in the year, Timeka blasted to the top of the video charts with All Night, produced by Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor and directed by Jay Will. Timeka followed up with a provocative collaboration with Peetah Morgan on the Juke Boxx produced Indiscretions riddim.
Her Hush track and his Secrets track were combined for a video medley directed by Gareth Cobran. Both tracks demonstrated her skills as a one drop singer.
Timeka's increased production effort is part of a plan coined by her management team Pyramid Music Group and their strategic production associates, Juke Boxx Productions. The Barbados and Jamaican based entities have partnered to guide the career of the Guyanese born singer. Under the terms of the partnership, Pyramid and Juke Boxx will jointly collaborate on the musical and artistic direction of the artiste.
The team has not held back and neither has Timeka. In addition to a slew of releases in Jamaica bound for international recognition, Timeka has several endorsement deals in Guyana, including a major association with GT&T Cellink. Plus she also recently landed an endorsement deal with international eyewear company Oakley. And, later this summer, fans can look out for Timeka in not one, but two new videos.
