With advice to keep at it always, put God first, stay away from the inactiveness and always put in the work to up and coming entertainers, Adrian Dutchin is continuing his quest to bring Guyanese produced music to the main stream.
The three times soca monarch is set to release a 17 track album titled ‘Finally’that has been in the making for awhile. A collection of some of his work he compiled in response to public demand it features a mixture of soca, soca chutney and a hint of RnB coming from Promises Remix.
Building his career between the USA, the Caribbean and touring as a lead singer with the Krossfyah band, Dutchin says the album that features collaborations with Peter Ram, Terry Gadraj and De Hitman offers hits such as Impossible, Rum Drinkz and Mr. DJ. It will be released next week minus pomp and ceremony.
He is also scheduled to be part of a special project for DDL through the FRITO LAY brand and will use the opportunity to give away some copies of the album.
Hopper has been previewed to the album and unhesitant states that it certainly has a very cool team of producers the likes of Burchmoore Simone(Manager), Shawn Master Mind Nowel, Darron Grant, Mark Walcott and Avi and that the album is scorcher.
Dutchin says he’s very ready and feeling excited about his fans having an original copy of the album in their hands and is also excide about being nominated for the 2009 Accolade awards in several categories.
Soca monarch re-entry?
On the subject of the Carib Soca Monarch he said “its very possible I will be hitting the stage again.” Admittedly he said he missed the contest a lot and believes it keeps you on your toes especially the build up to the contest and its one big burst for me.”
The artiste who won titles of Song Writer of the year and Best male artiste as well as several awards as a member of the duo X2 says “the awards it’s a great thing for the music industry in Guyana.” Commending the initiative he said that organizers have done excellent work to make sure it goes well because “some people may think it is small but they do not know the pressures these people go through to get things done, but they are doing it so thumbs up to the committee.”
He is also optimistic that “it (the awards) will grow very big and will definitely help the stakeholders in the industry. He opined that having an award will always be something of honour and boasted that I know I can always say I was among the first to ever get an award so ill always have mines in my heart along with everything else I have received in my career.”
